The Society was impressed with its dedication to the job and thereby, decided to reward it for its efforts. This came in the form of a regular salary of 1 000 rupees with additional compensation for any guard work during the weekend.
According to Man Bahadur Budathokia, the president of NRSC, this money would mainly be used to buy snacks and goodies for the dog. This included meat on a regular basis as well as generous amounts of milk and biscuits. For the ex-street dog, this of course means that it finally has a place to call home.In fact, Budathokia also said: “The dog is doing such a great job that we might even get rid of our night guard.”
