Sight-seeing tour of M25 sells out

A four hour sight-seeing coach tour of the congestion-stricken M25 has proved a surprise hit.The tour of the 117-mile orbital motorway, organised by the Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach company, has sold out and more dates have been arranged. The £15-a-head trip begins at Junction 7 and takes in sights including the Lakeside shopping centre, Heathrow airport Terminal Five and the Dartford Crossing Bridge.Organiser Simon Ashcroft says the tour was dreamt up as a publicity stunt for the company's more conventional outings, but proved unexpectedly popular.

The trip, which includes complimentary hot drinks and commentary provided by the co-driver, has attracted a diverse range of people. We've got the anoraks, of course, and we've got people who like coaches. We've got lots of ladies booking on, which has surprised me. I am going to ask them why they are interested.
